Arthur McBride at Felix’s in Dogtown (Saint Louis, MO)
C’est moi, at Felix’s in Dogtown. It’s a small moment in Saint Louis Irish Music History, folks. Okay, it’s a song.
Check it out.

Saint Charles Coffeehouse This Saturday 6 May
This weekend, I’ll perform a special show, a late addition, at Saint Charles Coffeehouse. Open to all ages and with no cover, Saint Charles Coffeehouse is a great location for a first date or for a family evening out. They have great coffee, dinner, and baked goods. Of course, this Saturday, they’ll have some Irish and original music to enjoy with it.

Irish Music Saint Louis: Jonathan at Hartford Coffee Saturday 23 May
Saint Louis has many great places to hear Irish music, folk music, and singer-songwriters. I have to admit there’s a place in my heart for Hartford Coffee Company.
Hartford Coffee is nestled in Tower Grove South, a block south of Arsenal and Tower Grove Park, at the corner of Hartford and Roger streets. The owners are very sensitive to the needs of the coffeehouse’s patrons, many of whom live in the surrounding neighborhood. There is a play area with a flat panel playing kid-friendly telly fare. There are tables near wall outlets, and a large “bar” with ample outlets for computer-toting workers and students.
Well, this Saturday, 23 May, they will have your own Jonathan Ramsey performing Irish folk and original songs starting at 7PM. That’s right, kids. Text your BFFs and Tweet your intentions of heading out for a night of fun at Hartford Coffee!
I’ll see you there!

Taking the Music to O’Fallon, MO and Soulard, This Weekend
A great weekend of Irish music. Friday night, I’ll head off to Saint Charles County, right off U.S. 40 (I-64) to Chocolate Cafe and Coffee House. That show will start at 7:30PM. Chocolate Cafe is right at U.S. 40 on the west side of Route K. The actual address is 1120 Technology Drive.
Saturday night, I return to the fabulous O’Malley’s Irish Pub in Soulard. At 1900 Cherokee St, at the corner of Lemp and Cherokee, it’s just blocks from the Anheuser-Busch brewery, and right across the street from the old Lemp Brewery. It’s a great Irish pub with a history of serving healthy doses of the region’s own Irish music offerings. Tommy, Bailey, and the whole family work their arses off to make you feel at home. I’ll bring the music. So, call your friends and meet them at this local gem.
This weekend, if you’re in Saint Charles county, head to Chocolate Café. Then, Saturday, before you head off for some Lemp Ghost Hunting, Saturday night, come our for a few scoops with me at O’Malley’s.
See you there!
P.S. I promise to get some better –and bigger- photos of the venues, this weekend.
Be sure, too, to check out the offerings at the Chocolate Café website.
Irish Music Invades O’Fallon, Missouri

Yes. Friday evening, I made my “less celebrated than hoped” debut at the Chocolate Café, in O’Fallon, MO. I’m afraid I hadn’t properly gotten the word out about this show. Fortunately, I had a small contingent that came out with me, and they had some off-duty baristas come in –Intelligent Designer love ‘em. Thanks to everyone that did come out. I’m going to enlist every bit of help that I can to get the word out for my August 15 show there.
I do have to recommend the coffee, too. It’s very good.
So, if you’d like to join –or manage- the Saint Charles County Street Team, give me a buzz on the horn. I mean, er, send an email to streetteams@jonathanramsey.com. I’d appreciate the help putting up flyers, or handing out postcards in the area. Of course, you’ll have backstage access (i.e., you’ll get to step behind the duct tape line at shows), as well as a cool, exclusive, Street Team t-shirt.
This Weekend: Saint Peters, MO and O’Malley’s in Saint Louis
Friday night, come up to the Borders, at Mid-Rivers Center in Saint Peters. This is an early show, as well as ALL AGES, so bring the kids, and enjoy a coffee or tea along with me. The show starts at 7PM, and this Borders always rocks, so to speak.
Saturday night, join me and your friends, at O’Malley’s Irish Pub, 1900 Cherokee Street, in the Lemp Neighborhood of Saint Louis. The pub has a nice, laid back atmosphere. You can talk to your friends in the front or back pub, enjoy a little dinner, early, and sing along with me after 9PM.
So, call your friends, and meet up at Mid-Rivers or O’Malley’s, this weekend! See you there.
Castletown Geoghegan in Belleville – New Show – Tomorrow Night!
Friday, 9 May, I’ll perform 9PM to 1AM at the beautiful Castletown Geoghegan in Belleville, Illinois. So, come out for a free and all ages show. This is a last minute addition, so don’t look through your Blackberry calendar trying to figure out how you forgot to enter it. Just call your friends, and head over to the Irish jewel of the Metro East.
April Fools Show at Cruisin’ Route 66 is No Joke!
Tonight, I’ll be at the Cruisin’ Route 66, that swingin’ joint near Webster Groves, near Shrewsbury, and near Affton, Missouri. It’s about two miles east of the Crestwood Center, and a couple miles west of Ted Drewes. They have a great, and very affordable menu, and great bartenders. Of course, tonight, they’ll have me, and a few hours of rowdy Irish music.
So, call your friends, and have them meet you at Cruisin’ Route 66. We’ll have a big blowout with music and kicks-getting.
New Show Update! Friday 3/28 Castletown Geoghegan to Rock!
Come out to beautiful Belleville, Illinois, for an evening of great food, drink, or whatever turns you on, plus a large helping of Irish Music, featuring myself. That’s this Friday, just west of the little circle where Main Street meets IL-159.
I’ll try to record this one, since my voice didn’t take long to recover from Saint Patrick’s Day. Speaking of Saint Pat’s, I need to post my debriefing, notes, errata, and whatnot about the fabled day of green, and how it went down, last week. Sneak peek: it was awesome, if wet!
Plus, this week, or on Friday itself, I’m determined to get my own damn photos of the Castletown Geoghegan, inside and out. Maybe I need to set up a nice gallery of venues. Perhaps said gallery requires an accompanying set of venue tribute songs.
