Music at Harling's Upstairs - 2005/12/03

For nearly five years, from November 2000 to May 2005, Harling's was my musical home on Thursday nights. I met many wonderful people and made many friends at Harling's.

Harling's is on the second floor at 3941 Main St, at the origin of Westport Rd. The historic, original site of Henry and Richard Bloch's Accounting office (ahem! H&R Block ring a bell?) is now the site of one of Kansas City, Missouri's favorite neighborhood bars, and home of Irish music, Blues, and Jazz. Every Saturday afternoon, Harling's features Mama Ray and the Blues Explosion. Tuesdays, Harling's hosts the Boulevard Big Band, a large ensemble performing the classics. Wednesdays, check out Smeller Wednesdays. Thursdays, now, catch the Englebert Humperdinks.

This Friday, though, I'm returning for a night of old school fun at Harling's. I'm looking forward to rocking out --so-to-speak-- with my Kansas City friends.
